Painting, done properly
A repaint is judged on edges. Straight cut lines at the ceiling, clean returns around window frames, no ridges where a roller stopped and restarted β those details are entirely a function of preparation and patience, and they are the first thing anyone notices walking into a room. Our crews spend roughly as long preparing a surface as covering it.
Exteriors are less forgiving still. Timber has to be dry, chalking has to be washed off, bare patches have to be primed, and gaps have to be caulked before a single topcoat goes on. Paint applied over a surface that was not ready fails from underneath, which is why so many exteriors look tired three years after being painted.
Colour is the part most people find hardest, so a consultation is included. We bring large samples rather than chips and look at them in the actual room, at the times of day you use it β north-facing light and evening lamplight can make the same colour look like two entirely different decisions.
